Agents and Staff at Capital Financial Group and the related DBA’s were able to collect and donate over 1000 food items to the Martha O’Bryan Center’s Food Pantry this December. It was an amazing show of service and collaboration with more than half of our staff and agents donating. For many of our employees, it was their favorite holiday service project in many years. “This is the kind of giving that makes us great people, and a great company!”, stated Tim Sinks, General Agent. The sense of pride through the company was great to see. Lauren Bellflower, Director of Marketing and Branding said, “Giving makes us even better and it was inspiring to see our hallway filled with food donations”.
The Martha O’Bryan Center is a charity near and dear to our hearts at Capital Financial Group. Martha O’Bryan Center is an anti-poverty non-profit organization with longstanding history and deep community roots, grounded in tradition and strengthened by innovation. Founded by 1894 when Miss O’Bryan organized the Gleaners Society at First Presbyterian Church to support impoverished North Nashville residents, Martha O’Bryan Center has operated from the heart of Cayce Place – Nashville’s most distressed community – since 1948. Martha O’Bryan Center empowers children, youth, and adults in poverty to transform their lives through work, education, employment and fellowship.
