Capital Financial Group's Nashville Employees Kick Off Martha O'bryan Center Holiday Drive

The staff and agents at Capital Financial Group have begun their holiday drive for the items most requested by the Martha O’Bryan Center. Last year over 1000 items of food were donated to the Martha O’Bryan’s food closet. This year the request was for other much needed items like tooth brushes, diapers, shampoo, soap, baby cereal and toilet paper. The drive runs from November 13th through December 8th. The drive has started off well with over 120 items being donated and with a few weeks to go.

Martha O’Bryan Center is an anti-poverty non-profit organization with longstanding history and deep community roots working strategically to build upward mobility, resiliency and well-being within families. Founded in 1894 when Miss O’Bryan organized the Gleaners Society at First Presbyterian Church to support impoverished North Nashville residents, Martha O’Bryan Center has operated from the heart of Cayce Place – Nashville’s most distressed community – since 1948.  This is where they continue in service, partnering with Cayce Place families to open doors of hope and possibility, create a culture of attainment, and positively shape future generations. “Martha O’Bryan Center’s mission and efforts are regarded strongly within Capital Financial Group’s staff and agents and we are happy to be fortunate enough to donate our time and funds to this great cause” Lauren Bellflower, Director of Marketing and Branding stated.
